Terms of service

Booking Terms and Conditions

TravelOptions Sport

Version 2.1 — effective from 12 October 2026. These terms apply to bookings made on or after that date. Earlier bookings keep the version in force when they were made.

These terms explain what you can expect from TravelOptions Sport and what we need from you when you book. Please read them before you book. We draw your attention in particular to section 7 (fixture dates), section 10 (Liverpool FC rules), sections 20 and 30 (cancellation) and section 39 (financial protection).

Two types of booking

We sell two types of consumer booking. Your Product Details and Booking Confirmation tell you which you have bought. The distinction matters because different cancellation rules and legal protections apply.

  • Ticket & Hospitality Only — event admission and/or matchday hospitality, with no hotel arranged by us. Parts A and B apply (sections 1–24). Once confirmed there is no cooling-off period, and a change of mind or an inability to attend does not normally create a refund right.
  • Match Break Package — event admission and/or hospitality plus hotel accommodation arranged by us for the same trip. Parts A and C and the Appendix apply (sections 1–18 and 25–39). You may cancel before the Package begins on our standard cancellation scale, subject to your Package Travel rights, and your payments are protected by ABTOT if we become insolvent, as described in section 39.

The services actually included in your booking decide which rights apply. A booking that combines event admission or hospitality with a hotel arranged by us is a Match Break Package even if the items appear separately on an invoice.

Key points before you book

  • Every football fixture date and kick-off time is provisional, however it is shown. Fixtures move for television and other reasons, sometimes more than once. Your booking is for the named fixture whenever it is played, so do not make inflexible independent travel plans around the original date (section 7).
  • Tickets are usually sent at least three days before the event, but Event Organisers sometimes release them within the final 72 hours (section 8).
  • Liverpool FC hospitality is for home supporters only. Away colours, support for the visiting team or behaviour likely to cause confrontation can lead to refused entry or ejection without refund (section 10).
  • Liverpool FC's ticketing rules, Ground Regulations and sanctions process apply. The club may refuse admission, eject a guest, cancel a ticket or impose a ban where its rules are broken (section 10).
  • Tickets must not be resold, advertised, transferred or forwarded except through a process we and the Event Organiser have authorised (section 11).
  • We strongly recommend travel insurance, particularly for Match Break Packages and for any transport you arrange yourself.

Trade customers. These consumer terms do not apply to travel agents, subagents or other businesses buying for resale. Our business-to-business terms apply to those sales.

Part A — Terms that apply to every consumer booking

1. Who we are and how to contact us

1.1 We are TravelOptions Sport Ltd, trading as TravelOptions Sport. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12475562. Our registered office is 10 West Street, Alderley Edge, Cheshire SK9 7EG. Our VAT registration number is GB 386 7727 37. The registered office is not a customer-service or ticket-collection address.

1.2 Website: to-sports.com. Email: info@to-sports.com (you may also use orders@to-sports.com; either address is valid for any notice under these terms). Telephone: 01625 539954. Your Booking Confirmation also gives you a contact point for urgent problems during your booking, including any hotel stay and matchday; keep it with your tickets and hotel details.

1.3 We arrange the services described in your booking. We are an Official Liverpool FC Match Break Supplier, authorised in writing by Liverpool FC to sell the match tickets and hospitality described on our website. The unauthorised sale of football tickets is an offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994; tickets bought from us are sold with the club's authority. We are not Liverpool FC, the Event Organiser or the hotel. Each of them controls its own operations, staff, safety procedures, admission decisions, fixture scheduling and venue or hotel rules.

1.4 TravelOptions Sport Ltd is a member of ABTOT (The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited), membership number 5729. ABTOT financial protection applies to our Match Break Packages and is explained in section 39. It does not apply to Ticket & Hospitality Only bookings. ABTOT's financial-failure helpline is separate from our booking and matchday support.

2. Words we use, and which terms apply

2.1 In these terms:

  • "we", "us" and "our" mean TravelOptions Sport Ltd.
  • "you" means the Lead Booker and, where the context requires, every guest included in the booking.
  • "Lead Booker" means the person who makes the booking (section 4).
  • "Event" means the match, concert, stadium tour or other event named in your booking. "Event Organiser" means the club, venue, promoter or rights holder that controls it, including Liverpool FC.
  • "Product Details" means the description of the event, hospitality, hotel, dates, price and restrictions shown on our website before you book, including any fixture window and any age, dress or eligibility requirement.
  • "Booking Confirmation" means the email we send confirming that your booking is accepted (section 3).
  • "Supplier Terms" means the ticket, venue, hospitality and hotel rules that apply to admission to and use of those services, as made available before booking. "Event Terms" means the ticket and venue rules within the Supplier Terms.
  • "Ticket & Hospitality Only booking" means a booking that includes event admission and/or hospitality but no hotel, transport or other travel service arranged by us (Part B).
  • "Match Break Package" or "Package" means a booking that combines event admission and/or hospitality with hotel accommodation arranged by us for the same trip (Part C).
  • "Package Start" means the time the first service in a Package is due to begin, normally the hotel check-in time shown in your Booking Confirmation.
  • "Fixture Window" has the meaning given in section 7.

2.2 Your contract with us is made up of the Product Details, your Booking Confirmation and these terms. The Supplier Terms also apply to admission to and use of the event, hospitality and hotel. A supplier's own cancellation or payment terms for customers who book directly with it do not replace ours.

2.3 The Product Details and Booking Confirmation identify the specific event, hotel, room, price and services you have bought. If they are unclear about the booking type, the services actually sold decide which Part applies.

2.4 Our FAQs provide general guidance and should be read alongside these terms. This does not exclude any information or promise that forms part of your booking under applicable law.

2.5 Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 or any other law that cannot be excluded.

3. Making a booking

3.1 Placing an order on our website is an offer to buy the services shown at checkout, subject to these terms.

3.2 Your Booking Confirmation is the automatic order email our website sends you after checkout. Your contract with us starts when we send it.

3.3 We carry out availability, payment, fraud and eligibility checks as part of processing your booking. Once your booking is confirmed, any cancellation by us will be dealt with under the relevant provisions of sections 5, 10, 23 and 34. If we cannot provide a confirmed service, we will explain the position promptly and provide the refund and any other remedy to which you are entitled. Further checks or supplier approval requirements do not remove your rights under a confirmed booking.

3.4 Check the Product Details before you pay, and check your Booking Confirmation as soon as it arrives. Tell us promptly if a name, event, date, hotel, room, occupancy, hospitality area, quantity or price is wrong. Delay may make a correction impossible or more expensive.

3.5 We take care to keep availability and prices accurate, but errors can occur. If an obvious pricing or description error comes to light after confirmation, we will explain it promptly and offer you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We will not use a minor or non-obvious error to change a confirmed booking.

3.6 Booking online. To book on our website you choose the event, package, number of guests and any hotel, enter the Lead Booker's details and payment information, and are shown an order summary in which you can check and correct any detail before you confirm by placing the order. We acknowledge every order by email without delay; that email is your Booking Confirmation (3.2). We keep a record of your booking, which you can see through the link in your Booking Confirmation or by logging in to your account, and we will send you a copy on request. These terms can be saved and printed from our website, and a copy of the version that applies to your booking is sent with your Booking Confirmation.

4. The Lead Booker and the information you give us

4.1 The Lead Booker must be at least 18 and must have authority to make the booking and accept these terms for everyone included in it. Everyone named in the booking receives the benefit of the services and of their consumer rights; we will normally communicate through the Lead Booker.

4.2 The Lead Booker must:

  • give us complete and accurate names, contact details and any other information requested for the booking;
  • pass confirmations, changes, ticket instructions and Supplier Terms to every guest promptly;
  • tell us immediately if their email address or mobile number changes;
  • make sure each guest meets any age, identification, supporter-eligibility, hotel or venue requirement that applies; and
  • tell us before booking if any guest is subject to a football banning order, a club or venue ban, suspension, exclusion, ticketing sanction or other restriction that could prevent them buying or using a ticket.

4.3 For an Event booking, we or the Event Organiser may require a guest's full legal name, date of birth, address, nationality or country of residence, supporter allegiance, photographic identification, ticketing-account details or other information reasonably required for ticket allocation, security, sanctions screening or admission. The Lead Booker confirms that all information supplied is accurate and may be shared with the Event Organiser and other authorised parties as explained in our Privacy Notice.

4.4 If inaccurate, incomplete or late information causes an additional cost, a failed delivery, a ticket cancellation or a refusal by a supplier, you may be responsible for the reasonable resulting cost. This does not apply where the problem was caused by us or where the law places responsibility on us.

5. Prices and payment

5.1 The Product Details and checkout state whether a price is per person, per room or for the whole booking, the occupancy basis where relevant, and what is included. Prices include VAT and any compulsory charge we are required to include, unless a charge is clearly identified before booking as payable locally.

5.2 Unless the Product Details say a deposit is accepted, the full price is due when you book. If a deposit or staged payment is offered, the Booking Confirmation states the balance and its due date.

5.3 If a balance is not paid on time, we may cancel the booking after giving you a reasonable opportunity to pay. The cancellation charges that apply to your booking type then apply. If the charge is more than you have paid, the shortfall remains payable; if it is less, we refund the difference. A payment of the full price is not a deposit simply because it was paid in advance.

5.4 A price may change before you book. Once a Ticket & Hospitality Only booking is confirmed, its price will not increase unless you ask us to change the booking or an obvious error is dealt with under section 3. The limited rules for Package price changes are in section 32.

5.5 Where a ticket shows a face value, that amount is for the admission ticket alone. The price you pay may also include official hospitality, hotel accommodation and other services described in the Product Details, and so may be higher than the face value.

5.6 Contact us promptly if you believe a payment or charge is wrong so that we can investigate. This does not affect any right you have against your card issuer or payment provider.

5.7 We may refuse or suspend a transaction where required by sanctions, anti-money-laundering or other law, or by a payment provider or competent authority, and may ask for information reasonably needed to complete those checks.

5.8 Our supplies fall within the Tour Operators' Margin Scheme. Prices include VAT where it applies, but our confirmations and invoices do not show VAT separately and cannot be used to reclaim VAT.

6. What is and is not included

6.1 Your booking includes only the services listed in the Product Details and Booking Confirmation: for example an event ticket, a named hospitality facility, food and drink, a programme or hotel accommodation.

6.2 Our bookings do not include passenger transport. Unless listed in your Booking Confirmation, parking, travel insurance, visas or other immigration documents, meals, drinks, hotel incidentals and personal expenses are not included. Any compulsory local charge must be disclosed before booking (section 5).

6.3 If we agree a tailor-made or group booking that includes coach, rail or other transport, that booking is made on the separate written terms we send you with the quotation. These terms do not apply to it unless those written terms say so.

6.4 Arrangements you buy independently are not part of our contract. Keep them flexible, particularly while a football fixture is provisional.

7. Fixture dates and changes

7.1 Every football fixture date and kick-off time we sell is provisional, even where our website shows a specific day and date. Fixtures are moved by the competition, broadcasters, the club, the police or other authorities, often at short notice and sometimes more than once. A concert, stadium tour or other event date is treated as confirmed unless the Product Details clearly say it is provisional.

7.2 The Fixture Window for a football fixture is the period stated in the Product Details. Where the Product Details do not state one, the Fixture Window is:

  • for a fixture published for a Saturday or Sunday, the period from the Friday before to the Monday after the published date; and
  • for a fixture published for a Monday to Friday, the period from 36 hours before to 36 hours after the published kick-off time.

7.3 We will take reasonable steps to tell the Lead Booker by email once a change is confirmed. You must also keep your contact details current and monitor official club, competition and event announcements.

7.4 The consequences of a change depend on your booking type: sections 22 and 23 for Ticket & Hospitality Only bookings, and sections 27, 33 and 34 for Match Break Packages.

8. Ticket delivery

8.1 Tickets may be supplied as a mobile NFC pass, app credential, digital ticket, electronic link, physical ticket, collection document or another format chosen by the Event Organiser.

8.2 We aim to send tickets at least three days before the Event. Event Organisers sometimes release tickets later than that, so delivery within the final 72 hours is not a failure on our part provided the ticket reaches you in time to attend. Your Booking Confirmation or final instructions will explain the expected method and timing.

8.3 You must:

  • monitor the email address and mobile number you gave us, including spam and junk folders;
  • where a mobile ticket is used, make sure the named guest has a compatible, charged smartphone with the correct wallet or app and, where needed, internet access;
  • not rely on a screenshot, photograph, print-out or forwarded link unless the Event Organiser expressly allows it; and
  • where collection or identity verification is required, attend the stated location with the requested identification.

8.4 Tell us immediately if a ticket has not arrived by the time stated in your instructions, or does not work, and give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and put it right. If immediate action is needed and you cannot reach us, keep evidence of any reasonable replacement cost.

8.5 If a ticket is lost, stolen, deleted or damaged after it has been validly delivered, replacement depends on the Event Organiser's rules and may carry a reasonable charge. We remain responsible where the problem was caused by us.

9. Seating and hospitality

9.1 The Product Details describe the seating area and hospitality service you are buying. Exact seat numbers may not be known until tickets are allocated. We will tell you before booking about any restricted, obstructed or side view known to us.

9.2 Other spectators standing at exciting moments may affect a view without the seat itself being restricted. That does not excuse an undisclosed restricted view or a seat that does not match its description.

9.3 Where the Product Details say seats will be together, that promise is part of your booking for a party of up to six guests in one booking. For a larger party we will seat everyone together where we can; otherwise guests will be seated in adjacent rows or neighbouring blocks served by the same hospitality lounge, and we will tell you before you book if a split is likely.

9.4 Hospitality opening times, menus, speakers, entertainment, programmes and similar incidental features may change for operational reasons, provided the overall service is not materially reduced.

9.5 Hospitality lounges may operate a dress code and age restrictions. Any such requirement will be stated in the Product Details or the Supplier Terms and applies to every guest.

9.6 Tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before you book. A request is guaranteed only when we confirm it in writing.

10. Liverpool FC and Event Organiser rules, eligibility and conduct

10.1 Every guest must comply with the rules that apply to the Event, venue and ticket. For Liverpool FC bookings these include, where applicable:

10.2 Those rules govern admission to and use of the ticket, hospitality and venue. They do not replace our payment and cancellation terms. They may be updated for safety, security, legal or regulatory reasons; we will draw a material change to your attention where it affects your booking. A supplier changing its rules does not remove your rights under these terms.

10.3 Liverpool FC home-match hospitality is for Liverpool FC supporters only unless the Product Details identify a club-authorised exception.

Who may not buy or use a ticket

10.4 We may refuse a booking, require a different attendee, withhold delivery or cancel a ticket where the intended user:

  • is subject to a current football banning order;
  • is subject to a current Liverpool FC, other club, venue or football-authority suspension, exclusion, ban or ticketing sanction;
  • has been convicted of a ticket-touting offence, or is reasonably suspected by Liverpool FC of unauthorised resale or ticket misuse;
  • is subject to a current sanction under an applicable anti-discrimination commitment;
  • is an away supporter seeking to use a ticket in a home-supporter area;
  • is prohibited by law, a competent authority or the Event Organiser from buying or using the ticket; or
  • refuses or fails to provide identification, screening information or other evidence reasonably required by us or the Event Organiser.

10.5 Liverpool FC's Ground Regulations state that banned or sanctioned persons will not be admitted. A Booking Confirmation or ticket does not override that, and we are not required to supply a ticket to a prohibited or ineligible person.

Refusal of entry, ejection and conduct

10.6 Liverpool FC, another Event Organiser, the venue, the police or an authorised steward may search a guest, refuse admission, remove a guest, cancel a ticket or refer conduct to a sanctions process. Sanctions may include warnings, match suspensions, indefinite suspension or a lifetime ban, and information may be passed to football authorities or the police where the law allows.

10.7 Conduct that may lead to refusal, ejection or sanctions includes:

  • refusing a lawful search or a reasonable instruction from a steward, police officer or official;
  • drunkenness, illegal drugs, or smoking or vaping where prohibited;
  • threatening, abusive, violent, indecent, discriminatory or provocative behaviour, including racist, homophobic or tragedy-related chanting, gestures or messages;
  • possession or use of pyrotechnics, weapons, missiles or other prohibited items;
  • pitch encroachment, throwing objects, damage to property, or obstruction of gangways and exits;
  • ticket misuse, use of false details, unauthorised transfer or resale, or sharing a mobile credential outside an approved process;
  • wearing away colours, openly supporting the visiting team or behaving in a way likely to cause confrontation in a home-supporter area; or
  • any other breach of the Event Terms, or conduct that creates danger, nuisance or annoyance.

10.8 Guests may be photographed, filmed or recorded as part of the audience in accordance with the Event Terms.

What happens to your booking

10.9 If a ticket or booking is cancelled, admission is refused or a guest is ejected because of that guest's conduct, ineligibility, concealment of a restriction, false information, attempted unauthorised resale or other breach of these terms or the Event Terms, no refund or compensation will normally be due, and you may be liable for any additional cost caused. We will refund only to the extent that we recover or save a cost, or the law requires. Any deduction or claim must reflect the affected booking and the loss for which you are responsible.

10.10 If a restriction, cancellation or refusal is not caused by your conduct or breach, section 23 or section 34 applies as appropriate.

10.11 We cannot overturn a reasonable safety, security, admission or sanctions decision made by Liverpool FC, the venue, the police or stewards.

11. Resale, transfers and commercial use

11.1 Tickets and hospitality must not be resold, offered or advertised for resale, transferred, lent, auctioned, forwarded, used as a competition prize, bundled into another product or used for advertising or promotion without our written permission and any permission required from the Event Organiser.

11.2 Liverpool FC's Matchday Hospitality Terms explain its restrictions on resale, commercial use and ticket distribution. Unauthorised sale or disposal of football tickets may be a criminal offence and can lead to cancellation, refused entry, police referral or a club ban.

11.3 You must not send another person a ticket, NFC pass, wallet credential, screenshot, account login or ticket link except through a transfer or distribution process authorised by us and the Event Organiser.

11.4 An unauthorised resale or transfer may lead to the whole booking being cancelled, admission refused, the guest ejected and the matter reported to Liverpool FC, a football authority or the police. No refund will normally be due where cancellation results from your breach, subject always to any right the law does not allow us to exclude.

11.5 A permitted name change or transfer must be arranged through us: section 21 for Ticket & Hospitality Only bookings and section 29 for Match Break Packages.

12. Changes you ask us to make

12.1 Email us to request a change to a name, guest, room, hotel, date, quantity or other detail. We will consider every request, but a change is not guaranteed and may be restricted by the Event Organiser, the hotel or another supplier.

12.2 Before making an agreed change we will tell you any extra supplier cost, price difference and reasonable administration charge. If a change produces a saving that we actually receive, we will credit it to you after deducting our reasonable costs.

12.3 A request that replaces the Event, substantially changes the dates or removes a main service may have to be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking. We will explain the consequences before acting.

13. Accessibility and special requirements

13.1 Tell us before you book about reduced mobility, wheelchair or accessible-seat needs, an accessible room, hearing or visual requirements, medical needs, allergies, dietary requirements or anything else that may affect whether the booking is suitable. We will make reasonable enquiries and tell you what can be provided. An arrangement becomes part of your booking only when we confirm it in writing.

13.2 If an essential requirement cannot be met before confirmation, we may decline the booking. If an accepted essential requirement later becomes unavailable, we treat it as a change to the booking under the section that applies to your booking type.

13.3 Accessible seating, bays and companion tickets at Anfield are allocated and controlled by Liverpool FC, which may require the guest to register with its disability access team and provide evidence of eligibility. We will register your request with the club; the guest may also need to contact the club directly. If a guest who needs accessible facilities has not been registered as the club requires and is refused entry or the facility as a result, we may be unable to refund, although we will credit anything we recover or save.

13.4 Minors must be accompanied and supervised as the Event Terms and hotel rules require. We do not accept a booking for an unaccompanied minor unless we have agreed the arrangements in writing.

14. Changes we make

14.1 We may make an insignificant operational change that does not materially reduce your booking, for example a small change to a meeting point, service time, menu or administrative process. We will tell you where it is relevant to your attendance.

14.2 If the seat category, hospitality facility, hotel or another service becomes unavailable, we may offer a comparable or better alternative at no extra cost. A lower-quality alternative carries an appropriate price reduction. A material change is dealt with under section 23 (Ticket & Hospitality Only) or section 33 (Match Break Packages).

15. Events outside our reasonable control

15.1 These include severe weather, natural disaster, war, terrorism, civil disorder, epidemic, government action, a major transport or utility failure, industrial action by an unconnected third party, venue closure, or another event that could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.

15.2 We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and will apply the rescheduling, cancellation, refund and Package rights in these terms. This section does not allow us to avoid a refund, alternative arrangement or other remedy that the law requires.

16. Our responsibility to you

16.1 We will perform our booking, payment, administration and fulfilment obligations with reasonable care and skill and in line with the descriptions and promises made before you booked. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

16.2 We do not operate Liverpool FC, the Event, the stadium, the hospitality venue or the hotel. Except where the law makes us responsible, we are not liable merely because a supplier:

  • changes an operational detail that does not materially reduce the service you bought;
  • applies its admission, safety, security, conduct, sanctions, check-in or house rules;
  • refuses or removes a guest because of that guest's conduct, ineligibility or failure to comply;
  • changes staff, a menu, entertainment or another non-essential detail; or
  • makes a decision about fixture scheduling, team selection, event content, the result, the atmosphere or the conduct of other spectators.

16.3 We are not responsible for loss to the extent that it was caused by you or a guest, by an unconnected third party whose act was unforeseeable or unavoidable, or by travel, accommodation or other arrangements you did not book from us, except where the law provides otherwise.

16.4 We do not accept liability for business losses, loss of profit or loss of earnings where you booked as a consumer. We do not exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16.5 You must take reasonable steps to reduce any loss. Do not incur unnecessary replacement costs without giving us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where required, put the problem right, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary.

16.6 Our responsibility for the services included in a Match Break Package is explained in sections 35 to 37.

17. Problems and complaints

17.1 If something goes wrong with the ticket, hospitality or hotel, tell the steward, hospitality host, venue representative or hotel reception immediately and contact us as soon as possible. Reporting a problem while the service is being provided gives the supplier and us the best chance to put it right.

17.2 For other complaints, email info@to-sports.com with the booking number, a clear description, supporting evidence and the outcome you are seeking. We ask that unresolved complaints are sent within 28 days after the booking ends. Missing that period does not remove a legal right, but delay may make a complaint harder to investigate.

17.3 A complaint about Liverpool FC's admission, ejection, stewarding or sanctions decision should also be raised through the club's own procedures, described in its Club and Supporter Charter. We cannot overturn a decision made by the club, a venue, the police or a sanctions panel, although we may provide booking information where appropriate.

17.4 For an urgent problem during your booking, including any hotel stay and matchday, use the contact point in your Booking Confirmation. We are not an emergency, medical or transport service. In an emergency call 999 or 112 and alert hotel, venue or stadium staff. Our statutory duty to assist a Package traveller in difficulty is explained in section 36 and the Appendix.

17.5 Alternative dispute resolution. We are not obliged to use alternative dispute resolution and have not committed in advance to any scheme. If a complaint remains unresolved after our complaints process, we will tell you so in writing and explain your options. As an ABTOT member we can offer you access to ABTOT's approved arbitration service, administered independently by Dispute Settlement Services Limited, subject to the scheme's rules. Arbitration is voluntary for both of us; a fee is payable, which is generally not recoverable; and the arbitrator's decision is binding on both of us. ABTOT's complaints guidance explains how to apply, and you can also contact ABTOT at membership@abtot.com or 020 7065 5311. You may take a complaint to court instead; nothing in this section removes that right.

18. Personal information, law and general terms

18.1 We use personal information to take payment, administer the booking, carry out fraud, eligibility and sanctions checks, arrange tickets, hospitality and hotels, communicate changes and deal with complaints. We share what is necessary with Event Organisers, hotels, payment providers, football authorities, law-enforcement bodies and other authorised suppliers or authorities where that is lawful. Our Privacy Notice explains this in more detail. The Lead Booker must make sure every guest understands this and has authority to provide their information.

18.2 These terms and your booking are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to 18.3 and 18.4, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from your booking.

18.3 If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live.

18.4 Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you under the law of the country where you normally live, including any right to bring or defend proceedings in the courts of that country, where that right cannot be excluded by agreement.

18.5 If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. We may transfer the administration of a booking to another company only if this does not reduce your rights, and we will tell you where required. No third party outside the booking has a right to enforce these terms.

18.6 The version of these terms in force when you book applies to that booking and will be provided with your Booking Confirmation. We review our terms for future bookings; publishing a new version does not change an existing booking.

18.7 These terms, your Booking Confirmation and all communications about your booking are in English. If we provide a translation for convenience, the English text prevails.

Part B — Ticket & Hospitality Only bookings

Part B applies, together with Part A, where your booking includes event admission and/or hospitality but no hotel, transport or other travel service arranged by us.

19. When Part B applies

19.1 A Ticket & Hospitality Only booking is a leisure-service booking for a specific event or date. The Product Details and Booking Confirmation identify the Event, its provisional or confirmed date, the ticket or seating category, the hospitality service, quantity, price and any important restrictions.

20. Cancelling a Ticket & Hospitality Only booking

20.1 Because the booking is for leisure services on a specific date, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to most online purchases does not apply (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(h)). Once we have confirmed the booking you are not entitled to cancel it, exchange it or receive a refund because you have changed your mind.

20.2 Illness, travel disruption, inability to get leave, a visa problem, a change in personal circumstances or any other inability to attend does not normally entitle you to a refund. Suitable insurance is strongly recommended.

20.3 At our discretion we may consider an authorised name change (section 21) or, where the Event Organiser permits, a legitimate return or resale of the ticket. We are not obliged to buy back or resell a booking and cannot guarantee any recovery. If we agree to try and we recover or save money, any payment to you is limited to the amount actually recovered or saved, less non-refundable costs and any reasonable administration charge explained in advance.

20.4 This section does not affect your rights if we fail to provide the booked service, the service is materially misdescribed, or it is not provided with reasonable care and skill.

21. Name changes and permitted transfers

21.1 A name change or transfer is allowed only where the Event Organiser permits it and we confirm it in writing. You must give us the replacement guest's details by the deadline we set and pay any actual supplier cost and reasonable administration charge notified in advance.

21.2 The replacement guest must satisfy every eligibility, supporter, identification and sanctions requirement. A transfer will not be made to a person who is banned, sanctioned, ineligible or otherwise prohibited from using the ticket.

21.3 You must not transfer a ticket yourself, send another person a mobile credential or sell the booking outside an authorised process. Doing so can invalidate the ticket and lead to sanctions.

22. If the Event is rescheduled or postponed

Football fixtures

22.1 Your booking is for the named fixture whenever it is played. If the date or kick-off time changes, your ticket and hospitality remain valid for the new date and time.

22.2 A change of kick-off time, or a move within the Fixture Window (section 7), does not create a refund right where the same fixture and substantially the same service will still be provided.

22.3 If the fixture moves outside the Fixture Window, or the change is otherwise unusually substantial, we will consider whether the service has become materially different from what you bought. If it has, section 23 applies and you may choose between the rearranged fixture and a refund for the affected service.

Concerts and other confirmed-date events

22.4 If an event sold for a confirmed date is rescheduled, we will normally offer you the choice of attending on the new date or a refund for the affected ticket and hospitality. This does not apply where the Product Details clearly said before booking that the date was provisional and explained how a change would be handled.

Postponement without a new date

22.5 If an event is postponed without a new date, the booking stays live while the Event Organiser makes new arrangements. We will review the position no later than 60 days after the postponement and tell you the latest information and your options. If no new date is announced within a reasonable period, or the delay materially changes the service you bought, section 23 applies.

22.6 Hotels, transport and other arrangements you booked independently are not part of this contract. Book them on flexible terms and take suitable insurance.

23. If the Event is cancelled or we cannot supply your booking

23.1 If the Event is cancelled and will not be rearranged, or we cannot provide the ticket or hospitality you bought, we will offer a comparable alternative where one is available. You may reject a materially different alternative and receive a refund for the affected service.

23.2 If you accept a lower-quality alternative, you will receive an appropriate price reduction. If none of the booked service has been provided, the refund is normally the full amount paid for that booking. If a distinct part has already been properly provided, the refund may be limited to the part not provided.

23.3 We will pay an undisputed refund without undue delay and in any event within 14 days after you tell us you want a refund or, where the refund depends on a claim, within 14 days after we accept it.

23.4 If an Event is abandoned after it begins, the remedy depends on how much of the Event and hospitality was delivered, the Supplier Terms and your legal rights. We will explain what is available once the Event Organiser's position and the facts are known.

23.5 We do not normally reimburse independently booked hotels, transport or other consequential costs after an Event change or cancellation, because those services were not part of this booking. This does not exclude liability for loss caused by our breach that is recoverable by law.

24. Independent arrangements and insurance

24.1 A Ticket & Hospitality Only booking does not include any hotel or transport you arrange yourself, and we are not responsible for those arrangements merely because they were bought for the same Event.

24.2 We strongly recommend insurance covering event cancellation, illness, and any travel or accommodation you arrange yourself.

Part C — Match Break Packages

Part C and the Appendix apply, together with Part A, where we combine event admission and/or hospitality with hotel accommodation arranged by us for the same trip.

25. When Part C applies

25.1 Event admission and/or hospitality combined with hotel accommodation arranged by us for the same trip is a package under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 ("the Regulations"). The additional rights and obligations in Part C then apply.

25.2 The 14-day cancellation right for online purchases does not apply to a Package. Instead, the cancellation and transfer rights in sections 29 to 31 apply.

25.3 The Package begins at the Package Start (section 2): normally the hotel check-in time shown in your Booking Confirmation.

25.4 The Product Details and Booking Confirmation identify the Event, hotel, dates, number of nights, room and occupancy basis, hospitality, total price and payment arrangements.

26. Your Package information and hotel stay

26.1 Before you book we provide the essential information about the Package: its main services, dates, hotel, price, payment terms, important restrictions and suitability information. After confirmation we send the contract information and Booking Confirmation by email or in another format you can keep.

26.2 The Product Details and Booking Confirmation state the named hotel or, where clearly disclosed, the hotel category and location; the number of nights; check-in and check-out dates; room type; occupancy; and any included meals. Star ratings and descriptions indicate category and facilities; they are not a guarantee that every facility is available at all times.

26.3 Hotels control their own check-in, security, housekeeping, food service and incidental facilities. Guests must comply with check-in times, identification requirements, occupancy limits and reasonable hotel rules. A hotel may require a refundable deposit or a payment card for incidentals where that is disclosed or is a standard reasonable requirement.

26.4 You are responsible for room damage, additional occupants, minibar and other incidentals, and conduct at the hotel. A hotel may refuse check-in or remove a guest for a serious breach of its rules. No refund is normally due where the hotel service is lost because of a guest's conduct, lack of required identification, late arrival without notice or another breach by you.

26.5 If you arrive late, leave early or choose not to use a hotel night for a reason not caused by us, no separate refund is normally due, although we take any saving into account if the Package is cancelled under section 30.

26.6 If the named hotel becomes unavailable, we may provide an equivalent or higher-standard hotel in a reasonably comparable location at no extra charge, and will tell you promptly. If the replacement is lower in quality or value, we make an appropriate price reduction. If the change is significant, section 33 applies.

26.7 A tourist tax, resort fee or other local charge is payable by you only where it was disclosed before booking or is imposed later by law in a way we could not reasonably have included in the price.

27. Fixture changes and your Package

27.1 Your Match Break is arranged around attendance at the named fixture. If its date or kick-off time changes, we will normally move the hotel dates and other included services so that you can attend the rearranged fixture.

27.2 A change of kick-off time or a move within the Fixture Window disclosed before booking may be an insignificant change where the same number of hotel nights, an equivalent hotel and substantially the same Event and hospitality are preserved. We make any corresponding hotel adjustment at no extra cost to you. We will assess the actual effect on your Package; movement within the Fixture Window does not automatically exclude the rights in section 33.

27.3 A move outside the Fixture Window, a weekend fixture moving to a weekday outside that window, a substantial change to the stay dates, the loss of a hotel night, a lower-standard hotel, a materially inferior hospitality service or another change to a main feature of the Package may be a significant change. We assess the real effect of the change and apply section 33; we do not treat every fixture change as automatically non-refundable.

27.4 We will take reasonable steps to tell the Lead Booker as soon as confirmed replacement arrangements are available. You must also monitor official announcements.

27.5 Transport, transfers and extra accommodation you buy independently are not part of the Package. Book them flexibly. This warning does not remove a Package right or excuse misleading information or breach by us.

28. Changes you ask us to make to a Package

28.1 Email us to request a change to a guest, room type, hotel, date, number of nights or another Package detail. Changes are subject to availability and supplier rules.

28.2 If we accept the change, you pay any additional price, actual supplier cost and reasonable administration charge disclosed before the change is made. If we obtain a saving, we credit it after our reasonable costs.

28.3 A request to replace the Event or make a fundamental change of dates may be treated as a cancellation under section 30 and a new booking, after we have explained the consequences.

29. Transferring your Package to another person

29.1 You may transfer the whole Package to another person who meets all the conditions that apply to it. The Lead Booker must tell us by email or in another durable written format. Notice received at least seven days before the Package Start is always treated as reasonable; we may accept shorter notice where suppliers allow.

29.2 You and the replacement customer are jointly responsible for any unpaid balance and for the actual, reasonable costs of the transfer. We will tell you those costs and provide proof of them, and will not charge more than we incur.

29.3 The replacement must meet the Event Terms and every supporter-eligibility, identification, sanctions, age, hotel and other requirement. A transfer cannot be made to a person whom Liverpool FC or another Event Organiser prohibits from using the ticket.

30. Cancelling your Package

30.1 You may cancel the Package at any time before the Package Start by emailing us (section 1.2). Cancellation takes effect when we receive clear written notice from the Lead Booker.

30.2 Because tickets, hospitality and hotel rooms are committed or paid for well before the Package Start, the following standard cancellation charges apply. The period is measured from the day we receive your notice to the Package Start.

  • 70 days or more before the Package Start: loss of the deposit or 30% of the total Package price, whichever is greater.
  • 69 to 35 days before the Package Start: 75% of the total Package price.
  • 34 days or fewer before the Package Start: 100% of the total Package price.

30.3 "Deposit" means only an amount identified as a deposit in your Booking Confirmation. It does not mean the full price paid up front; where no deposit was specified, the 30% figure applies in the first band. The charge is calculated on the total price of the cancelled Package, including any supplements or additional Package services confirmed before cancellation.

30.4 The scale sets out our standard maximum charge and reflects the losses we reasonably expect at each stage. If our actual net loss is lower, because we avoid a cost, receive a supplier refund or credit, reuse a service or legitimately resell part of the Package, we reduce the charge accordingly. We will not keep more than an appropriate and justifiable amount, and will explain the calculation if you ask.

30.5 We may deduct the cancellation charge from money already paid. If the charge is less than you have paid, we refund the balance without undue delay and within 14 days after your cancellation takes effect. If the charge is more, the shortfall remains payable. The charge will never exceed the total Package price.

30.6 If one person cancels from a shared room, the remaining guests may have to pay a higher occupancy price or a single-room supplement. We will explain the revised price and take account of any saving or recovery. No refund is normally due for a guest who does not travel, arrives late, leaves early or chooses not to use a Package service, except to the extent that we make a saving or recovery or the law requires.

30.7 Illness, inability to get leave, a visa or passport problem, failure of transport booked independently or a change of mind does not normally remove the cancellation charge. Suitable insurance is strongly recommended, and you may be able to transfer the whole Package under section 29.

31. Cancelling without charge because of extraordinary circumstances at the destination

31.1 You may cancel before the Package Start without a cancellation charge where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination or its immediate vicinity significantly affect the performance of the Package: for example a serious security incident, natural disaster or comparable event.

31.2 This does not normally include personal illness, a problem with transport you booked independently, or anything that affects only your own circumstances.

31.3 Where this right applies, we refund all Package payments without undue delay and within 14 days after your cancellation takes effect. No additional compensation is payable solely because of that cancellation.

32. Package price changes after confirmation

32.1 Unless the Product Details expressly reserve a right to increase the price and explain how any increase will be calculated, the confirmed Package price is fixed, except for changes you request or an obvious error dealt with under section 3.

32.2 Where such a right is reserved, it may be used only for a change in taxes or fees imposed on the Package by third parties not directly involved in providing it, or in exchange rates relevant to the Package, to the extent the Regulations permit. It cannot be used simply because a hotel or ticket supplier raises its own price. We must explain the calculation clearly and tell you at least 20 days before the Package Start. You are entitled to a corresponding reduction if the relevant costs fall, less reasonable administration costs that we will evidence on request.

32.3 If a permitted increase exceeds 8% of the total Package price, the choices in section 33 apply.

33. Significant changes by us before the Package begins

33.1 We may make an insignificant change where these terms reserve that right and we tell you clearly. If we have to significantly change a main feature of the Package, cannot meet an accepted essential requirement, or propose a permitted price increase of more than 8%, we will contact the Lead Booker without undue delay.

33.2 We will explain the change, its effect on the price, any replacement Package offered, the reasonable time allowed for your decision, and what happens if you do not respond. You may:

  • accept the changed Package;
  • accept a replacement Package, where one is offered; or
  • cancel without a cancellation charge.

33.3 If the changed or replacement Package is of lower quality or cost, we make an appropriate price reduction. If you cancel, we refund all Package payments without undue delay and within 14 days after the contract ends. Compensation may also be due where the law requires it.

34. Cancellation by us, or cancellation of the Event

34.1 We may cancel a Package before the Package Start if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent us from performing it and we tell you without undue delay. We may also cancel for non-payment (section 5), fraud, a legal or sanctions restriction, a direction from Liverpool FC or another supplier, serious security concerns, guest ineligibility or a material breach by you.

34.2 If we cancel for non-payment after giving you a reasonable opportunity to pay, the cancellation charges in section 30 apply. Where cancellation results from fraud, concealment of a ban or sanction, false information, ticket misuse, unauthorised resale, security concerns or another material breach by you, we may retain or recover our reasonable loss, subject to your statutory rights.

34.3 If a Package requires a minimum number of participants, that number and the cancellation deadline will be stated before booking. The deadline cannot be later than 20 days before the Package Start for a Package lasting more than six days, seven days for a Package of two to six days, or 48 hours for a Package of less than two days. We will not rely on this right unless it was clearly disclosed.

34.4 Where we cancel for a reason that is not your fault, we refund all Package payments without undue delay and within 14 days after cancellation. Whether additional compensation is due depends on the reason and the law.

34.5 If the Event is postponed, section 27 applies while it is expected to be rearranged. If the Event is cancelled and will not be rearranged, an essential part of the Match Break can no longer be supplied: we will offer a suitable replacement Package where one is available, or you may cancel and receive the refund required by law. A lower-value replacement carries an appropriate price reduction.

34.6 A refund or other remedy due from us under the Regulations is not delayed because we are waiting to recover money from Liverpool FC, the hotel or another supplier.

35. Liverpool FC and the hotel are independent suppliers

35.1 Liverpool FC or the relevant Event Organiser supplies and controls the ticket and hospitality. The hotel supplies and controls the accommodation. We do not own, manage or employ them and cannot direct their staff, security procedures, admission decisions, fixture scheduling or day-to-day operations.

35.2 Except where the law makes us responsible for a service included in your Package, each supplier remains responsible for its own operations and legal duties. A Match Break Package does not make us responsible for matters outside the services listed in your Booking Confirmation, including:

  • the result, team selection, playing time, atmosphere or conduct of other spectators;
  • a fixture date, kick-off time or operational detail changing, where the change is dealt with under these terms and the law;
  • an admission, ejection, security or sanctions decision caused by a guest's conduct, ineligibility or breach;
  • hotel incidentals, room damage, personal property, minibar or other services not included in the Package;
  • transport, transfers, extra nights or other arrangements you bought independently; or
  • any act or omission of Liverpool FC, the Event Organiser or the hotel that is unrelated to the ticket, hospitality or accommodation included in your Package.

36. Our statutory responsibility for Package services

36.1 Under regulation 15 of the Regulations we are responsible, as organiser, for the proper performance of the ticket, hospitality and hotel services included in your Package, even though independent suppliers perform them. We accept no wider responsibility for Liverpool FC, the Event Organiser or the hotel than the law requires.

36.2 If an included service is not provided as agreed, tell the supplier and us without undue delay and give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where required, put it right. We may do so through the original supplier, a comparable alternative or another solution the law permits. A remedy may be reduced to the extent that a failure to report promptly prevented the problem being corrected or increased the loss.

36.3 You may arrange a remedy yourself and claim its necessary, reasonable and evidenced cost where the law permits, including where immediate action was needed or we refused or failed to remedy the problem within a reasonable period.

36.4 If a significant part of the Package cannot be provided after it begins, we will offer suitable alternative arrangements at no extra cost where possible, with a price reduction where they are of lower quality. You may reject an alternative only where it is not comparable with what was agreed or the price reduction offered is inadequate.

36.5 If you are in difficulty during the Package, we will give appropriate assistance without undue delay: information on health services, local authorities and consular help, assistance with communications, and help finding alternative arrangements. We may charge a reasonable fee, not exceeding our actual cost, if the difficulty was caused intentionally by you or through your negligence.

37. Price reductions, compensation and limits

37.1 If an included Package service is not provided as agreed, you are entitled to an appropriate price reduction for the affected period unless we prove the failure was attributable to you. The reduction reflects the service not supplied and its effect on the Package, and is not excluded merely because the cause was outside our control.

37.2 Compensation for resulting loss is a separate remedy. We are not liable to pay compensation where we prove the failure was attributable to you; to an unconnected third party whose act or omission was unforeseeable or unavoidable; or to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. These exceptions do not remove a separate right to a refund, price reduction or other remedy the law requires.

37.3 We do not accept liability for independent travel or accommodation, loss of earnings, business loss, loss of profit or indirect or consequential loss unless the law requires otherwise. You must take reasonable steps to avoid or reduce any loss. Any payment available under another regime is taken into account so that there is no double recovery.

37.4 Where the law permits a contractual limit, our liability for compensation that does not involve personal injury or damage caused intentionally or negligently is limited to three times the total price of the Package. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

38. Travel documents and insurance

38.1 Guests travelling to the United Kingdom or any other destination are responsible for valid passports, visas, electronic travel authorisations, immigration requirements and health formalities unless the Product Details say we are supplying that service. Check official requirements well before travel.

38.2 Take out suitable insurance when you book. It should cover cancellation, illness, medical needs, loss of belongings, event disruption and any transport or other arrangements you buy independently. Insurance does not replace a legal right against us, but it may cover personal risks for which we are not responsible.

39. Financial protection for Match Break Packages — ABTOT member 5729

39.1 This section describes our ABTOT financial protection for qualifying Match Break Packages. It does not apply to Ticket & Hospitality Only bookings or wholesale ticket purchases. The scope of protection, including the restriction relating to bookings made outside the UK, is set out in ABTOT's wording below.

39.2 ABTOT's standard wording:

The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for TravelOptions Sport Ltd (ABTOT membership number 5729), and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for:

  • Non-flight packages

ABTOT cover provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled or repatriation if transportation was included in your package. Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with TravelOptions Sport Ltd.

In the unlikely event that you require assistance whilst abroad due to our financial failure, please call our 24/7 helpline on 01702 811397 and advise you are a customer of an ABTOT protected travel company.

You can access The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 here: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2018/634/contents/made

You can find out more about ABTOT here: https://www.abtot.com/

39.3 Our Match Break Packages do not include passenger transport, so the reference to repatriation in ABTOT's standard wording does not add transport to your booking.

39.4 ABTOT protection concerns our insolvency. It is not cancellation insurance and does not replace our responsibilities for the services you booked or the cancellation rules in these terms.

39.5 ABTOT's contact details are: The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited, 7th Floor, 69 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 2BG; membership@abtot.com; 020 7065 5311. If services are denied because of our insolvency, contact ABTOT and follow its financial-failure claims instructions. Keep your Booking Confirmation, invoice and proof of payment. For an ordinary booking problem or a cancellation, contact us (section 1) rather than ABTOT's financial-failure helpline.

Appendix — Package Travel Key Rights

This Appendix applies only to Match Break Packages (Part C). It reproduces the standard information form in Schedule 2 of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, with our details inserted in the places the form provides.

Part 1 — General

The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations.

Therefore, you will benefit from all EU rights applying to packages. TravelOptions Sport Ltd will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.

Additionally, as required by law, TravelOptions Sport Ltd has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

More information on key rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 is set out in Part 2 below.

Part 2 — Key rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018

  • Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the package travel contract.
  • There is always at least one trader who is liable for the proper performance of all the travel services included in the contract.
  • Travellers are given an emergency number or details of a contact point where they can get in touch with the organiser or travel agent.
  • Travellers may transfer the package to another person, on reasonable notice and possibly subject to additional costs.
  • The price of the package may only be increased if specific costs rise (for instance fuel prices), and if expressly provided for in the contract, and in any event not later than 20 days before the start of the package. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the price of the package, the traveller may terminate the contract. If the organiser reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has a right to a price reduction if there is a decrease in the relevant costs.
  • Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee and get a full refund of any payments if any of the essential elements of the package, other than the price, are changed significantly. If before the start of the package the trader responsible for the package cancels the package, travellers are entitled to a refund and compensation where appropriate.
  • Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee before the start of the package in the event of exceptional circumstances, for instance if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the package.
  • Additionally, travellers may at any time before the start of the package terminate the contract in return for an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.
  • If, after the start of the package, significant elements of the package cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee, where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the package and the organiser fails to remedy the problem.
  • Travellers are also entitled to a price reduction or compensation for damages or both where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.
  • The organiser has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty.
  • If the organiser or the retailer becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded. If the organiser or, where applicable, the retailer becomes insolvent after the start of the package and if transport is included in the package, repatriation of the travellers is secured. TravelOptions Sport Ltd has taken out insolvency protection with The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), membership number 5729. Travellers may contact this entity or, where applicable, the competent authority (The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited, 7th Floor, 69 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 2BG; membership@abtot.com; telephone 020 7065 5311; 24/7 financial-failure helpline 01702 811397) if services are denied because of TravelOptions Sport Ltd's insolvency.
